I had a conversation with a guy.

He stated that there were many gods and that God just didn't like the competition...

I’m going to show you a few of our messages... I told him that:

There is only ONE God. Therefore, He has no competition.

... Those many other so called gods are demons and 'they' are evil. And they do not deserve anything but eternal damnation-- which is exactly what they get.

James 2:19

Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.

His response:

Then I guess I deserve eternal damnation. Which makes me wonder about your morals. I seriously question them now. Which in other words, I do not believe you are a truly good person inside.

I dont think we have much to say. We're not going to convince the other of anything.

I know what I know, and you know what you know and the Grand Canyon separates that.

My response:

Why do you question my character because I stated that evil demons deserve the fate of eternal damnation?

And why do you say that you deserve eternal damnation?

Jesus died for you. All He asks is that you accept Him.

2 Peter 3: 9

The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is long-suffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.

His response:

First of all. I do not consder the Bible to be at ALL any true word of God. Quoting me passages would be like myself quoting the Koran or the Hindu Holy Text to you. It wouldnt matter.

Secondly, what you call demons, I call my GODS.

Third.

I walked away from Jesus because the price was too high. I realize what kind of God hid behind the "good" works and honestly, I would rather burn in your Hell than be a slave to your God.

Does that answer all questions you have?

My response:

Yes, it does.

Because you do not wish to be a so called slave to Christ instead you have chosen to be a slave to your so called gods (aka demons).

Well good luck with that. I wish you well.

What's so ironic about that conversation is that he was downing the Lord... yet the only reason he had breath in him to engage in said conversation is because the Lord gave it to him.

He gave him his life.
His cognition.
And every good thing he has ever had.
Yet he mocks Him.
And refuses Him.

The cross is our lifeline...

If we forsake it,

we forsake everything.

There is no life apart from Him. There is no love apart from Him. There is no joy apart from Him. There is no wisdom or understanding apart from Him. And there is no hope apart from Him.

Thus apart from Him we lose all wisdom and understanding, all joy, all love, all hope, and eventually all life.

Almost every person I come across that wants to make a case against God has some person they look up to for no apparent reason that just happens to be an atheist. If they actually did their research they would know that most of these proclaimed 'atheists' suddenly started believing in God on their death bed. But, not only that, ninety percent of the well known 'successful' people we know of did believe in God. ... I don’t think I’d be letting some other person think for me on such a vital issue concerning my life. I think I’d choose to do some research and think for myself for once. It reminds me of that saying 'if someone told you to jump off a bridge would you do it'... only it would be 'if someone told you to give up your life would you do it.'

That’s more or less what these people are doing when they attack the creator of the universe and then turn around and act like He doesn't exist for them to reap what they sow. We will all be held accountable for our actions. God is a caring God but (like anyone else) He can only take so much. After being rejected over and over, repeatedly, and without recompense He eventually has no choice but to leave us alone.

By the way,  we don’t lose our life because God takes it from us... we lose our life because Satan takes it from us after we reject God repeatedly to the point that He is "FORCED" to leave us alone thus withdrawing His protection and leaving us with Satan as our only influence. Then guess what? That voice that had been attacking God and calling Him evil/cruel all that time suddenly gets louder. But why? Cause that evil/cruel voice of God that was once providing you with protection disappears.. and all you hear is Satan’s voice telling you how much of a failure your life is. And how things will never get better and you should just destroy yourself/ others cause there’s nothing left for you. And what do you do? Just that.

That’s why it’s never a good idea to listen to someone that wants to destroy you.

This is a battle. And Satan wants to destroy us. And we are fighting on his side when we oppose God which is pathetic not only because we are fighting against our father/protector but the very person we are siding with plans to destroy us.

It’s like in every movie we’ve ever seen in which the idiot sheeple relentlessly serves his evil master until he eventually turns on him and destroys him.

Here’s another question for you: if there is no such thing as God then why are people trying SO HARD to convince us that He doesn’t exist? Why are there so many people that spend their time creating horrible sites explaining that there is no God and why this God that {doesnt exist} is supposedly hateful. Why does almost every subsequent religion (that came after the Jewish/Christian religions and essentially copied them) try SO HARD to convince us that Jesus is not the messiah? If He is not?

Oh and "how" are there Satan worshipers? If there is no such thing as Satan? And why is Satan’s influence seen all over the world through counterfeit religion and books and music and television... if he is not real?

Why do you think so many people believe in the idea of life after death, Heaven, and Hell? Why would one want to bring judgment on oneself? Why would one make up the notion of Hell? How is the notion of Hell ideal? I can see how the idea of Heaven would be but not so much the idea of Hell. I mean, if philosophy were but man made wouldn’t you think one would make up something slightly more appealing? For instance, everyone could go to a great place after death. But what is death? Or what is life? What is purpose? Why are we searching for it? What is the unknown?

How do people have experiences with the afterlife? If there is no afterlife?

Why do you think people all over the world believe in the idea of a God? And always have? The idea of a supreme being that created the entire world and everyone in it is obviously above our human conception-- or we wouldn't have so many skeptics... so why do you think so many people believe?

It’s because God is real. ... and Satan is real ... and Jesus is the messiah.

Perhaps we should address the question of Epicurus: 'If God is omnipotent, omniscient and omnibenevolent, why does evil exist?' I have to admit... before I may have contemplated the same thing. But now I’m sort of thinking... I don’t really understand the question.

I have to counter with if God is omnipotent, omniscient, and omnibenevolent why are we questioning Him?

But instead let’s break this down. How does the problem of evil relate to this question? Or what is his argument. He is trying to assert that if God is all powerful (capable of creating the universe and everything in it and controlling what He chooses), omniscient (all knowing), and omnibenevolent (all good) then God would not allow evil.

So what is his reasoning? That an all powerful God capable of creating the universe and everything in it is not allowed to have formed a being capable of making the wrong choices (notice I said the 'wrong' choices which would imply that there is a right one which would imply that there is a benevolent being providing us with the alternative or 'right' choice). After all, we've established that evil is the result of Satan’s rebellion and our subsequent choice to follow him (instead of God)... I’m going to have to argue that an omnipotent God could very well have created a being that decided to rebel against Him (because He formed his creation with intellect and the ability to choose not to listen to Him because He did not desire to control him) and that this would not negate His power/authority..

Moving on. The next argument makes more than less sense but we shall address it. I’m guessing he is thinking that if God knows what will happen in the future that He must be causing us to choose evil. Notice I said causing us to "choose" evil. Which in itself is absurd. It is our choice, and knowing the future does not make one responsible for what he sees will happen.

So the third argument. If God is good then why does he allow evil? Something I have struggled with over the years and just came to understand recently.. because God loves we who 'choose to' practice evil.

So now lets address the argument from inconsistent revelations which asserts that it is unlikely that God exists because many theologians and faithful adherents have produced conflicting and mutually exclusive revelations. The culprit is false prophets (influenced by Satan). So how do we know which revelations are correct? We adhere to the authoritative scriptures: the Old and New Testament. Because they were the first original documents upon which every religion is founded on.

Now the destiny of the unevangelized...

Not a good argument against God’s existence. Probably a better argument for His existence and the fact that Satan is working through counterfeit religion.

Argument from poor design...

I’m not even going to address something so ridiculous. Most of the arguments for God lie in an orderly universe.

Argument from nonbelief...

Another nonsensical argument that lacks relevance. The existence of skeptics does not disprove the existence of God.

The argument from parsimony…

The argument is that man made religion could have simply been conjured up by men. But in this argument they are using the fallacy of the straw man. Because we are not addressing man made religion and it was definitely conjured up by men... we are addressing the existence of God. History in advance cannot be conjured up by men… and the bible is history.

Russels teapot or the burden of proof…

I agree that there is a burden of proof that lies with the believer but I do not see how a lack of evidence against something is not a logical reason not to discount it. If one uses this argument then the proof for something would then also bear no significance which would in turn discount the entire proposition.

The first cause argument for the existence of God…

Since we all have parents/a creator then would God not be required to have a creator? But the reason we have to have a creator is because we are not God... so God had to create us.

The answer to this can be found in a question:

Why would God have to have a creator? He is God/the creator.

The following is a revised quote from someone that posted on the Athiest Experience sites a while back:

“Giving up your faith would be giving up love. That does not make you a better person. You see God when you follow Him. Asking for evidence, but making no effort to follow Him is pointless to God. Follow Him and you will see Him. Having no faith brings about an empty heart. First give up yourself, then God will reveal Himself to you. If you can follow Him in thought and action you will see Him.”

I find it interesting how many people attest to education as their reasoning for not believing in the bible.. here is a list of quotes from some of the most notable figures of all time... all of which our education is founded on.. they all believed in the bible:

Sir Issac Newton (The father of modern science)-- "We account the scriptures of God to be the most sublime philosophy. I find more sure marks of authenticity in the bible than in any profane history whatsoever."

Blaise Pascal (One of history's greatest mathematicians. He laid the foundations for hydrostatics, hydrodynamics, differential calculus, and the theory of probability. Famous for Pascal’s Wager)-- "How can anyone lose who chooses to be a Christian? If, when he dies, there turns out to be no God and his faith was in vain, he has lost nothing. In fact, has been happier in life than his non believing friends. If, however, there is a God and a heaven and hell, then he has gained heaven and his skeptical friends have lost everything"

Samuel Morse (Invented the telegraph)-- "The nearer I approach the end of my pilgrimage, the clearer is the evidence of the divine origin of the bible. The grandeur and sublimity of God's remedy for fallen man are more appreciated and the future is illuminated with hope and joy."

Sir John Frederick Herschel (English astronomer)-- "All human discoveries seem to be made only for the purpose of confirming more and more strongly the truths that come from on high and are contained in the sacred writings."

Joseph Lister (Founded antiseptic surgical methods)-- "I am a believer in the fundamental doctrines of Christianity."

James Simpson (Medical anesthetics)-- "Christianity works because it is supremely true and therefore supremely livable.” When asked what his greatest discovery was he stated: "It was not chloroform. It was to know I am a sinner and that I could be saved by the grace of God. A man has missed the whole meaning of life if he has not entered into an active, living relationship with God through Christ."

Arthur Compton (Winner of the Nobel prize in physics)-- "Science is the glimpse of God’s purpose in nature. The very existence of the amazing world of the atom and radiation points to a purposeful creation. To the idea that there is a God and an intelligent purpose back of everything.. an orderly universe testifies to the greatest statement ever uttered: in the beginning God...."

Napoleon-- "The bible is no mere book but a living creature with a power that conquers all that oppose it... I never omit to read it and every day with new pleasure. I know men and I tell you that Jesus Christ is no mere man. Between Him and every other person in the world there is no possible term of comparison. Alexander, Caesar, Charlemagne, and I have founded empires. But on what did we rest the creations of our genius? Upon force. Jesus Christ founded His Empire upon love and at this hour millions of men would die for Him."

Theodore Roosevelt-- " No educated man can afford to be ignorant of the bible. A thorough knowledge of the bible is worth more than a college education."

Patrick Henry-- "Here is a book worth more than all the other books which were ever printed yet it is my misfortune never to have, till lately, found time to read it with proper intention or feeling."

Andrew Jackson-- " That book, sir, is the rock upon which our republic rests."

William McKinley-- " The more profoundly we study this wonderful book and the more closely we observe it’s divine precepts the better citizens we will become and the higher will be our destiny as a nation."

Woodrow Wilson-- " There are a good many problems before the American people today, and before me as president, but I expect to find the solution of those problems just in the proportion that I am faithful in the study of the word of God."

Thomas Jefferson-- "I have always said, and always will say, that the studious perusal of the sacred volume will make us better citizens, better fathers, and better husbands."

John Quincy Adams-- "I say to you, search the scriptures! The bible is the book of all others, to be read at all ages, and in all conditions of human life; not to be read once or twice or thrice through, and then laid aside, but to be read in small portions of one or two chapters every day and never to be intermitted, unless by some overruling necessity."

Franklin D. Roosevelt-- "We cannot read the history of our rise and development as a nation, without reckoning the place the bible has occupied in shaping the advances of the republic. It is a fountain of strength and now, as always, an aid in attaining the highest aspirations of the human soul."

Robert E. Lee-- "In all my perplexities and distresses, the bible has never failed to give me light and strength."

Ulysses S. Grant-- "Hold fast to the bible as the sheet of anchor of your liberties; write it’s precepts in your hearts, and practice them in your lives."

Sir Winston Churchill-- "Let men of science and learning expound their knowledge and prize and probe with their researches every detail of the records which have been preserved to us from those dim ages. All they will do is fortify the grand simplicity and essential accuracy of the recorded truths which have lighted so far the pilgrimage of men."

Charles Dickens-- "The New Testament is the very best book that was or ever will be known in the world."

John Adams-- "The bible is the best book in the world. It contains more than all the libraries I have seen. Suppose a nation in some distant region should take the bible for their only law book and every member should regulate his conduct by the precepts there exhibited! Every member would be obligated in conscience, to temperance, frugality, and industry; to justice, kindness, and charity towards his fellow men; and to piety, love and reverence toward almighty God... what a utopia, what a paradise would this region be."

Ronald Reagan-- "Within the covers of the bible are all the answers for all the problems men face. The bible can touch hearts, order minds, and refresh souls."

George Washington-- "It is impossible to rightly govern the world without God or the bible. It is the duty of all nations to acknowledge the providence of almighty God, to obey His will, to be grateful for His benefits, and humbly implore His protection and favor." "Direct my thoughts, words, and work. Wash away my sins in the immaculate blood of the lamb, and purge my heart by thy holy spirit.. daily frame me more and more into the likeness of thy son Jesus Christ."

Daniel Webster-- "I have read the bible through many times, and now make it a practice to read it through once every year. It is a book of all others for lawyers, as well as divines; and I pity the man who cannot find in it a rich supply of thought and of rules for conduct. It fits a man for life- it prepares him for death." "If we abide by the principles taught in the bible, our country will go on prospering."

Noah Webster-- "The moral principles and precepts contained in the scriptures ought to form the basis of all our civil constitutions and laws. All the miseries and evils which men suffer from- vice, crime, ambition, injustice, oppression, slavery, and war- proceed from their despising or neglecting the precepts contained in the bible."

Dwight Eisenhower-- "The bible is endorsed by the ages. Our civilizations is built upon its words. In no other book is there such a collection of inspired wisdom, reality, and hope." "It takes no brains to be an atheist. Any stupid person can deny the existence of a supernatural power because man's physical senses cannot detect it. But there cannot be ignored the influence of conscience, the respect we feel for moral law, the mystery of first life.. or the marvelous order in which the universe moves about us on this earth. All these evidence the handiwork of the beneficent deity.. that deity is the God of the bible and Jesus Christ, his son.

Albert Schweitzer-- "We must all mutually share in the knowledge that out existence only attains its true value when we have experienced in ourselves the truth of the declaration: he who loses his life shall find it."

Calvin Coolidge-- "The foundations of our society and our government rest so much on the teachings of the bible that it would be difficult to support them if faith in these teachings would cease to be practically universal in our country."

Christopher Columbus-- " It was the Lord who put it into my mind.. I could feel his hand upon me.. there is no question the inspiration was from the holy spirit because he comforted me with rays of marvelous illumination from the holy scriptures."

General Robert E Lee-- "There are things in the old book which I may not be able to explain, but I fully accept it as the infallible word of God, and receive it’s teachings as inspired by the holy spirit."

Abraham Lincoln-- "We have been the recipients of the choicest bounties of heaven. We have been preserved these many years in peace and prosperity. We have grown in numbers, wealth and power as no other nation has ever grown. But we have forgotten God. We have forgotten the gracious hand which preserved us in peace, and multiplied and enriched and strengthened us; and we have vainly imagined, in the deceitfulness of our hearts, that all these blessings were produced by some superior wisdom and virtue of our own. Intoxicated with broken success, we have become too self sufficient to feel the necessity of redeeming and preserving grace, too proud to pray to the God that made us!" "It behooves us then to humble ourselves before the offended power, to confess our national sins and to pray for clemency and forgiveness."

Congress-- "... The bible, the word of God, has made a unique contribution in shaping the United States as a distinctive and blessed nation and people... deeply held religious convictions springing from the holy scriptures led to the early settlement of our nation... biblical teachings inspired concepts of civil government that are contained in our declaration of independence and the Constitution of the United States."

I’ve decided to try to get people to figure out that it's admirable to follow God rather than not considering satanic forces constantly try to do the opposite through the pharisaic spirit because they want to hurt God when He doesn’t deserve it because He is so good.

Satan is a loser but people don’t get that the way they should. They are following a loser instead of the God of the universe so they miss out. I think it's time for us to change that.

 '

Satan is the "subtle" deceiver.

He never makes it obvious that he is practicing deception.

Satan's goal is to get the Lord's people to slowly deny Him and it starts out in an extremely subtle manner.

Most never acknowledge they are being deceived until one day when they are on the brink of losing everything to Satan. Then they turn back to God or they serve Satan.

Unfortunately, several end up serving Satan because he convinces them that at that point they have fallen too far into it when in truth you can never fall too far from love.

God's unconditional love conquers all.

But Satan (the father of lies) convinces them they're too far into it and they choose him thus rejecting the Lord completely.

That's why you have to recognize his schemes. So you're aware and you can tell others if you see them getting deceived.

Satan's entire pursuit is to undermine the truth and power of God's unconditional love. If we could understand it thus identifying the Lord's true identity it would conquer Satan. It sets you free. It's truth. It's the only reality within this existence. The reason for this existence is to know and experience it. Once you're enveloped with it you will experience true freedom.

Once you experience it you find yourself.

The part of yourself that was lost.

And you reach completion.

We all know the truth in our heart.

We just have to accept it.
