Above is the title to an article that targets "empaths." The term empath refers to a person who was given a gift from God to be able to discern the emotions of others to a specialized degree. When I read this article I had just found out that I had natural empathic abilities through the Holy Spirit, but something told me when I read the article that it was deceitful. That something was the Holy Spirit within me. This article attempts to sway people with natural empathic abilities to utilize this nine step program in order to tap into the psychic “within.” Seems harmless except they left God completely out of it.. and He gave us the gift of discernment in order to sense spiritual attacks on others in order to help those that are being attacked spiritually by engaging in intercession for them through prayer and supplication. He did not give it to us for our own personal gain or profit. These sites are targeting those that have natural empathic abilities intentionally to try to turn them away from God. They say this program is targeting what they call the 'dreamtongue' and they do not mention God at all. So then what source must they be targeting? If they are not targeting God? There is only one other source.. and it's Satan.

Satan targets intercessors (aka empaths) in the article I mentioned because they are called to function in intercession as a primary office, but we were all called to engage in intercession. And Satan not only targets intercessors, but he targets all of us. He will attempt to get us to utilize our gifts for him instead of God, and we all have different gifts. Everyone should request to be filled with the Holy Spirit. If we seek God's favor we may petition Him to activate our gifts. Every person has specific talents and not one person's testimony is the same. Everyone has specific gifts from the Holy Spirit: they just need to be activated through a personal relationship with God.

We function predominantly in certain areas. For instance, everyone with the Holy Spirit has the ability to sense the emotions of others however those with the gift of discernment or those referred to as empaths function in this area to a specialized degree... so they were specifically called to function in this area.

BUT it is important to understand that we ALL have different strengths. Therefore, one position should not be exalted above another. Not one person is exactly the same and each person's gifts are EQUALLY important. Everyone was given specific gifts from God (1 Cor 12: 4-26). Some were given the gift of faith and others the gift of healing. To some the gift of revelation and to others discernment of spirits. They just need to be activated through a personal relationship with Him in scripture and prayer.

*The spiritual gifts we have are called gifts because they were acquired from the Holy Spirit.. it is not that of ourselves. But don't let that confuse you. It's not meant in the general sense. God ordains us with certain gifts according to our personality as He foreknew us.*
